Blue Ridge Assistance DogsBlue Ridge Assistance Dogs (BRAD) was founded in 1994 as a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization dedicated to providing specially selected and professionally trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans disabled by mobility impairments, seizures, diabetes, autism and post traumatic stress. As an accredited member of Assistance Dogs International, we have successfully placed 24 teams and are in the process of training 7 more puppies to be placed as service dogs. Our organization is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, an active Board of Directors, and our Executive Director. We are supported by our local community, individual donors, and foundations who believe in our mission and stand ready to support us. |
